Label Gap sensor
The label gap sensor detects the label and the gap between labels to obtain the correct label feed out
length.
Both the sensor parts are mounted into an upper & lower bracket with a fixed position mounted behind the
thermal head.
It is important to ensure this area is kept clean and free from any debris of label/dirt which will cause the
sensor to incorrectly detect.
The label position can be affected by two distance settings in the service menu / labeller setup / service /
settings
(for Worldview software)
The gap to head distance setting is the
distance the label gap sensor is from the
thermal head.
The head to bar distance is the distance
from thermal head to stripping bar edge
Note: for a Signature labeller the gap to
head distance differs depending on L

roller kit is used instead of the near
edge kit
The figures in the chart below are the
default values, these may need to be
adjusted depending on the fixed
position of the gap sensor assembly to
the back
