Pack sensor adjustment - opto electric (Wenglor)
In electrical cabinet, each pack sensor cable connects to a 3 way Molex connector. Linked to this connector
is another Molex connector with a single wire connection. This wire is the Teach wire.
To allow sensitivity adjustment (teach mode) this connector needs to be disconnected.
Selecting a teach - in mode
The standard mode used for the 700 series machines is when the LED flashes 4 times
Normally, the required mode is already set and the sensor is ready to sense clear packs. If sensing
problems occur with customer pack, the sensor can be re
- trained.
Press and hold the Teach button on the sensor for at least 10 seconds until the LED switches from rapid to
slow blinking. In this mode (slow blinking) the teach
- in mode type can be selected .
By pressing the teach button again the mode will be changed (1 blink, 2 blinks etc.)
After the button has not been activated for 15 seconds, the sensor returns automatically to the normal
display mode.

Once the teach wire has been disconnected, the
sensor can be set
Press and hold the Teach button on the sensor
for at least 1 second until the LED starts to blink
rapidly
The switching threshold is taught when the
button is released. The switching threshold is set
to maximum sensitivity.
Re - connect teach wire to prevent further
adjustment. On re - connection, the LED will flash
and run through a set of flashes (5 sets of 4
pulses).
