Option fit part - Barcode scanner (Keyence) to end of outfeed
If the optional fit Barcode scanner is installed, an additional
electrical cabinet is fitted to house an I/O control board, DC
-
DC converter and electrical connection for scanner, trigger
sensor and rejector.
This is mounted on the rear of the labeller station power box
Serial coms connection from I/O board to PC main board in
HI cabinet (at COM 3).
Feed the serial coms cable through the cable gland in the
base of the box and connect to the I/O board at CN8

Trigger sensor for barcode scanner
The sensor to trigger the scanner is situated at the end of the
outfeed conveyor.
As standard this sensor is the Wenglor type, therefore if
sensitivity adjustment is required refer to Service section (4)
for adjustment details. The teach wire connection is situated
in the small rear electrical box (see above)

the end of the outfeed. It should be
set at an appropriate angle to allow
the sensing beam to see the pack
(barcode on label) at the end of the
outfeed conveyor

Barcode scanner -
The barcode scanner (BL - 1300) uses a visible semiconductor laser
as a light source. Care must be taken to ensure the beam is not directed at people and not to
stare into the beam. This item is a class 2 laser product.
