Wear strip & silicone tube
-
for Signature labeller
The wear strip & silicone tube act as a pressure pad against the underside of the label which will then press
the label onto the thermal head.
The wear strip needs to be kept in good condition and free from any damage on its surface that is in contact
with the label.
Over a period of time, the surface of the strip will wear out and need to be replaced
A worn or damaged wear strip can cause bad print.
Refer to the servicing section for details on replacing the wear strip & silicone tube
The wear strip & silicone assembly can be
remove from the labeller (4 cap head screws) for
replacement of the wear strip
The wear strip has two bends formed in it.
The 1st bend is over bent to create a close fit
around the 90° angle on the stripping bar
The 2nd bend is a curve which sits on the
silicone tube
Silicone tube

this sits in a groove in the
stripping bar and underneath the wear strip
