The take - up motor is now easily
accessible
Disconnect the 2 way Molex
connector for the motor wires
Un - screw the four mounting screws for the motor
bracket and remove motor.
To remove the drive belt, remove the four screws
holding the bracket to the back plate & the central
screw through the bearing
Inspect belt for damage or wear. If fitting a new motor,
fit original motor bracket to the new motor.
Check pulleys and central bearing for wear or damage,
refit drive belt onto larger pulley, then fit bracket to
back plate.
Fit motor, ensuring the drive belt is around the pulley
of the motor.
When motor is in place, adjust belt tension by moving
motor up/down on its mount. Reconnect 2 way Molex
connector and refit outer surround.
