Updating labeller software
There are two pieces of software on the
labeller board that can be up
- dated
These are the communication side (CP)
& and print side (PHP), normally only
the PHP side is updated
The pic chip cannot be updated in this
way
The version numbers of the software
can be found on the labeller settings
screen in the service menu in 700
console software & on a sticker on the
labeller board for the PHP.
For Worldview software the labeller
software version can be found in: ser-
vice menu / labeller setup / service /
information
On this screen the software versions
installed are listed
How to update software
There are two possible methods depending on the version of labeller software already installed.
Method 1 - If the PHP labeller software already installed is 50030 or above a utility within the console /
worldview software can be used to download the updated version
Refer to following pages for description of method 1 & 2
Note: it is unlikely that the Signature labeller will have software installed pre 50030, therefore in Signature
labeller instances, method 1 would be the only process required.
Method 2 - A plug - in module unit with the required software programmed onto it. This can be obtained
from Digi Europe. This method is required when software already in the labeller is pre 50030 version
