Safety - your responsibilities
In normal operation, it is essential that the scale cover, protective covers or panels are in place.
The conveyors should be fitted and in their correct place for the machine to operate.
Always stop the conveyors and disconnect the mains electrical and air supplies when making adjustments,
cleaning and setting the machine.
Ensure all stray objects are removed and the conveyors are clear before restarting the machine.
Ensure that the machine is switched off and disconnected from the electrical and air supplies before
removing any cover or panel.
The warning label shown below will be visible on covers that can be removed to access live parts.
Only qualified service engineers should access these parts
Electrical safety
This machine is fully earthed to current standards and fitted with a three - conductor power lead.
It is essential that the power lead earth conductor be connected to a good and proper earth point, which is
also used for adjacent and associated equipment.
The machine is protected by a 2 pole miniature circuit breaker. In countries where the machines power plug
can be inserted in the power socket in two orientations, great care must be taken to ensure that the live/
phase pin of the plug is inserted in the live/phase receptacle of the socket. In the event of the circuit
breaker tripping the cause should be rectified before the circuit breaker is returned to the on position
The circuit breaker can be found inside the electrical cabinet (lower left position). Ensure mains power is
isolated from the machine before switching the circuit breaker
