Classic labeller - Thermal head position & pressure
It is important to have the correct position and pressure of the thermal head to obtain good printing and
optimum thermal head life.
Thermal head position
Brass adjusting screws with locking nut
The thermal head position can be adjusted
back and forward to obtain the correct
position on the platen roller.
Loosen the lock nuts and use the two brass
screws to adjust the head position.
The ideal position is to have the line of
printing elements of the thermal head in line
with highest point of the platen roller.
Thermal head pressure
The pressure of the thermal head onto the
platen roller / label can be adjusted by the
two screws as shown opposite.
To prolong the head life, it is best to have the
minimal head pressure possible to obtain the
required print.
Loosen the locking nut and use a small flat
blade screw driver to adjust pressure.
Clockwise to increase pressure
Anticlockwise to decrease pressure
