Maintenance of centralizer label reel
Central knob resistance adjustment
The resistance the centralizer adjustment knob has to
turn can be adjusted.
If the tension is too loose, the centralizer may not keep
its adjustment. If too tight, it may be difficult to turn.
Loosen the set screw recessed in the knob and remove
the knob
The central shaft and locknut are now visible
Using a spanner to hold the central shaft, adjust the
tightness of the lock nut.
Tightening the locknut will increase turning resistance.
Ensure when replacing the adjuster knob, the set screw
lines up with the flat on the central shaft.
Use Loctite 222 on set screw on re - assembly
