5.17.5 Selected Objects Display
Selected Objects Window
Once channels/objects have been selected and applied using the Object Picker,
a list of the chosen objects is displayed in the Selected Objects window. It
is the parameter values of these objects that will be affected when the edit is
performed.
Note
Selected Objects
(objects and parameter values) cannot be further defined
using the Selected Objects window. Channels, objects, and parameter values
can only be chosen using the Object Picker.
Value Entry Field
A Value Entry field is located in the lower right-hand corner of the Selected
Objects combo box. It is used to enter the value to be applied when Set and
Trim Edit Types are performed. This value is applied as follows:
Set
Parameters selected for editing will be set to the entered value for the duration
of the Edit Region;
Trim
The values of the parameters selected for editing will be offset by the entered
value for the duration of the Edit Region.
Note
The Value Entry Field is only available in Set and Trim Edit Types.
The type of value is determined by the type of parameter(s) selected for
editing. Some parameters will have specific labels for the Value Entry Field.
For example, if Fader values were selected from a group of Input channels,
the Value Entry Field will be expressed in dB. Likewise, if a group of EQ
frequency parameters were selected, ‘freq’ would represent the Value Entry
Field. Other parameters without specific labels will be labeled simply as
‘Value.’
Note
An arrow will appear at the right of the Value Entry Field when like parameters
of certain types are selected for editing. Clicking on this arrow (or anywhere
in the Value Entry Field) will cause a scroll box to appear that contains a list
of the possible values for that parameter. For example, if Input Gain #1 is
selected, the scroll box will contain values ranging from –24 to +24 dB in
1 dB increments. A value can be selected from this list by highlighting the
desired item.
Parameters of the same type (such as Direct Out Level) may be chosen from
several different channel types, such as Input, Group, Auxiliary Output, and
so on. Mono and Stereo channels may be included when objects/parameters
are chosen.
