12.1.2 Starting the HART application (2nd Method)

Note
: the 250-ohm HART resistor is
important in allowing communication
with the HART device, as it provides
enough impedance in the signal loop for
the HART signal to develop.
Select the
Back
softkey to return to
the Calibrator screen.
HART
is configured in
CH2
.
Step 1
From the
Dashboard
select the
HART
icon (either tap the screen icon or press
the softkey.)
Step 2
Tap in the
HART
bottom screen area to
enlarge the window and show the
CH2
icon. Select this icon to show the
CH2
Setup
screen.
You can follow the procedure in
Section 12.1.1 on page 206 from step 2
forward to configure the HART function.
To establish communication between
the instrument and the
HART
device,
select the
Configuration
softkey.
