CTS Wick Replacement Procedure

 

Remove the Blade Assembly and Wick Clip Assembly

Remove the old Wick Clip Assembly (1) from Wash Tower (2) by lifting 
up on both sides of Wick Clip as shown in 

Figure 10.84

. Make sure that the 

old Wick is retained within the Wick Clip. If the wick is NOT in the Wick 
Clip, the Wick should be found within the Wash Tower area. In this case, 
use tweezers to remove the Wick. Put the old Wick and Wick Clip into a 
biohazard waste container.

 CAUTION

Observe all laboratory practices or procedures that pertain to 
handling of infectious and pathogenic materials.
