CC Reagents Information
DxC Systems use the cartridge bar code to identify and record data regarding reagent
name, lot number, expiration date (e.g., 200601), and serial number of the cartridge.
Refer to
. Additionally, the system retains calibration status of loaded and
unloaded cartridges.
• Reagents can be loaded while the system is running, waiting, or in Standby.
• Check reagent box or Reagent Preparation Card for reagent preparation instructions.
• Caps must be removed from the cartridge before loading.
• Check cartridges for bubbles in the reagent compartments before loading. Use an
applicator stick to remove bubbles.
6
Use the hand-held bar code reader to scan the reagent bar code of each new
bottle. The system will "beep" to indicate a successful bar code read.
Check the monitor to verify that the reagent data is shown. Once scanned,
the reagent screen is updated with current reagent information. The reagent
may be loaded manually, if the bar code cannot be scanned. If the bar code
can not be scanned, manually clear the reagent by selecting Clear [F1],
type new information and place selected reagent bottle(s) on the system.
7
Close the door and select Done [F10]. For loaded chemistries, continue to
Step 8.
8
For loaded reagents, calibrate and run QC before processing patient
samples.
