17. Check weld root on the underside of the sheet, determine
focus position of f=0.
The focus position of f=0 is reached when the welding root on
the bottom of the sheet can be clearly seen with full
penetration welding. This is the case with focus position offset
+2 in the reference part illustrated below. That means that the
focus point is 2 mm too low and needs for that reason to be
corrected by +2 mm.
