Note
The specified chemical/physical characteristics must always be
observed. Consult your supplier regarding this subject.
The cooling circuit of the laser is flushed with "purest ethylene
glycol" before being transported to the customer, if the following
conditions apply:
•
The system is delivered between October 1 and April 30.
•
The system is transported via ship or airplane.
A cooling unit, whose cooling water has once been mixed with
"purest ethylene glycol", must always – even in summer – be filled
with this antifreeze agent.
The system's cooling circuit must therefore be flushed on-site prior
to start-up. Here, the customer must supply 60 % more demine-
ralized, de-ionized, or distilled water.
•
Demineralized water may only be stored for a short period of
time in order to avoid impairment of the water quality.
•
The water must be transported in clean plastic containers
(without deposits, no odors).
•
Avoid all unnecessary contact with the water (e.g. with hands).
Contact with foreign materials, except those specified by
TRUMPF, affects the water quality.
•
Additional water-filling equipment such as pumps, hoses, or
stopcocks should be used exclusively for handling the water of
the system.
•
The demineralized water must undergo a simple inspection
regarding color, cloudiness, and odor before filling.
Any cloudiness (e.g. from suspended matter, threads, flakes,
particles) represents a water impurity. In such cases, the system
should not be filled with this water.
Any deviation from a neutral odor usually indicates that the water is
biologically contaminated. In such cases, the system should not be
filled with this water.
Algae inhibitors and anticorrosives for copper and aluminum
cooling circuits are delivered with the machine.
