14.
Operating the laser
All work and settings which have to be carried out with the laser in
service mode may only be carried out by specially trained service
personnel:
14.1 Switching on the laser
Laser gas supply
Open the shut-off valves for the laser gas supply (nitrogen, carbon
dioxide and, last of all, helium).
Switch on the main switch and wait until the control system is ready
for operation.
LASER
Press the LASER ON/OFF button.
The automatic start-up cycle is started (button flashes). The cooling
unit and vacuum pump are switched on. The pressure in the laser is
reduced to start-up pressure. The laser is filled with laser gas and
the pressure raised to working pressure The radial turbine blower is
switched on.
The laser is ready for operation and the Laser ON/OFF button is lit
up permanently once the nominal RPM of the radial turbine blower
has been reached.
Safety information
All operating steps which have to be carried out by the operator can
be carried out in normal laser mode.

TRUMPF service personnel.
•
Service personnel of the customer who have received intensive
laser-specific training and have been given instructions on
safety procedures.
