Replacing sacrificial anodes
There is a difference between replacing reactive anodes of the
IS22 and IS36/IS44 RF generators.
IS18/IS22
•
Cut off cooling water supply to the generator.
•
Open cap nuts on the teflon water hoses.
•
Wipe up the overflow water, allow the wet parts to dry.
•
Pull teflon hoses from the reactive anodes.
•
Unscrew old reactive anodes from the water connections on
the tube.
•
Place new reactive anodes with washers onto the water
connections.
•
Screw on union nut and tighten it by hand, then use wrench to
turn it another 90 degrees.
IS44/IS36
The reactive anode is supplied together with a T joint.
•
Cut off cooling water supply to the generator.
•
Replace reactive anodes with T joint.
