Duty of care when handling the cooling unit
The cooling unit is subject to the range of application of the EU
Pressure devices guideline 97/23/EU and the European Standard
EN 793, Parts 1-4.
The owner is obliged to do the following:
•
To have the cooling unit inspected at regular intervals by a
qualified person.
•
A set of brief instructions is to be placed on the unit in a
position that is readily visible and where it will not be damaged
or lost. A sample with the required data in accordance with
EN 378 is contained in the operator’s manual of the cooling
unit.
•
An installation log is to be maintained. A sample is contained in
the operator’s manual of the cooling unit.
The national regulations of the individual countries are to be
complied with.
In case of emergency the cooling unit voltage must be switched off
immediately:
If the cooling unit is switched on and off by means of the machine
power supply:
½
Switch off the MAIN SWITCH at the laser unit at once.
If the cooling unit has its own electrical power connection:
½
Switch off the MAIN SWITCH at the cooling unit at once.
