Supply lines to cutting gas supply
The customer must provide the supply lines for the cutting gases
up to the connection point on the machine.
•
The supply lines must be installed up to the connection point
on the installation plan marked with the symbol shown on the
left.
•
The height of the connection position above the floor is approx.
600 mm. The supply line is to be connected from below.
•
Pipes are to be used for the entire gas installation from the gas
cylinder or central gas tank to the machine.
•
The vaporizer must be laid according to the max. consumption
of all connected machines. Moreover, the line connecting the
vaporizer to the connection point on the machine should be as
short as possible.
•
The external gas installation must be arranged in such a way
that the supply lines to the connection point on the machine
and the connection point itself cannot ice up.
•
Stopcocks must be built in to every supply line to the individual
machines. In this way, the supply lines, for example, can be
blocked off and bled during servicing using the purge valve on
the connection point of the machine.
Note
The gas temperature must not exceed 50 °C. This is of particular
importance when the required gas pressure is generated using a
pressure increasing device!
•
Oil and grease-free lines made of copper piping in special
quality ("refrigerator quality", inert-soldered with simple forming
gas) are sufficient for the cutting gases.
•
Stainless steel pipes are not required.
•
To avoid impurities during transport and storage, the pipe ends
must be securely sealed.
