Conditional on the diminishing effect of the biocide Nalco 2594, this
must be topped up in the copper and aluminum cooling circuit as
for a water exchange.
Notices regarding the filling amounts are located on the beam
generator cooling unit.
Caution
Cooling water additives have a caustic effect on skin and eyes.
Wear safety glasses and protective gloves when working with
cooling water additives.Observe instructions on products and
product packaging.
•
When measuring different cooling circuits, do not mix the
contents of the containers so as to avoid falsifying the results.
•
For handling the measuring device, see the respective instruc-
tions.
•
Before measuring, switch on the cooling unit for a short time so
that the water is circulated.
•
Switch cooling unit off.
•
Open cover of the cool water container.
•
Immerse the probe for measuring in the cool water container.
•
If conductivity is less than 200µS/cm, add as much cooling
water additive for bacteria and algae (NALCO 2594) as you
would for an entirely new cooling water refill.
•
If conductivity exceeds 200µS/cm, change the cooling water
and add cooling water additives.
•
Clean the probe with demineralized water.
