Evaluating the ODC interface
The Operating Data Collection (referred to as ODC in the following)
allows the user to keep a log of the following operation and
machine data during machining:
Each ODC is tied to an NC program. Cycles which collect and
record the operation data must be programmed in the respective
NC programs in order to be able to evaluate the operational data.

21.1 Opening a LOG-file
The operation data is saved monthly in a LOG file. A data record is
created for each workpiece. Up to 25 000 data records can be
stored per file. The file name is made up of the year and month,
e.g. "2002-05.LOG".
The LOG file is saved to the hard disk of the PCU 50 in the
C:\DH\TOPSMANU.DIR\LOG directory. The LOG file can be
loaded via a network connection or diskette at any PC. The LOG
file can be opened by any text editor.
