17. Utilities
The "Utilities" menu provides several special functions and settings for the
Braille Sense U2 QWERTY. The "Utilities" menu contains the following
items:
1) Calculator (for doing simple math equations as well as scientific
calculations)
2) Display Compass heading (for displaying your current cardinal direction
3) (Set Time and Date (for setting the Braille Sense U2 QWERTY internal
clock)
4) Display Time and Date (for viewing the date and time)
5) Wake up alarm (for setting an alarm)
6) Calendar (for checking dates according to the lunar and solar calendar)
7) Pronunciation Dictionary (for defining the way words are pronounced by
the unit)
8) Stopwatch (for timing events)
9) Terminal for screen reader (for connecting your Braille Sense U2
QWERTY to your PC for use as a Braille display, external speaker, etc)
10) Setup internet (for creating Internet connection profiles)
11) Display Network Status (for displaying the status of your Internet
connectivity)
12) Display power status (for discovering the amount of battery charge on
the unit)
13) Backup/ Restore personalized settings (for backup/restore of
personalized settings for each program in the Braille Sense U2 QWERTY)
14) Menu manager (for hiding some program options according to your
preference)
15) Format (for formatting the flashdisk as well as external storage devices)
16) Set Sleep Timer (for defining the time before the unit automatically goes
to sleep)
17) Upgrade Braille Sense Firmware (for upgrading the Firmware)
