5. Message sound notification while in current window
Use this option to choose whether you are alerted to new messages via a
notification sound while in a chat conversation. To adjust this setting, do the
following:
1) Press “Alt” to open the menu.
2) Press “down arrow button” to move to "Tools" and press "Enter".
3) Press “down arrow button” to move to "Message Sound Notification While
In Current Window" and press "Enter". Or, Press "Fn-s" to move to the
"Message Sound Notification While In Current Window" option directly. You
are prompted, "Play message sound notification while in current window:
Yes".
4) If you press "Enter", you are alerted to a received message by a beep
sound when in a conversation.
5) If you press “down arrow button” and press "Enter", you are not alerted by
a beep sound when in a conversation.
However, even if you set this option to No", a sound alerts you to new
messages when in the contact list. The setting is only effective for the
current chat window.
6. Message sound notification while messenger is in the background
You can select whether you are alerted with a beep sound on receipt of new
messages when running another application and messenger is in the
background. To change this setting, do the following:
1) Press “Alt” to open the menu.
2) Press “down arrow button” to move to "Tools" and press "Enter".
3) Press “down arrow button” to move to "Message Sound Notification While
