Vacuum Pump Ballast Valve Adjustments
1. The ballast valve is located on the left side of the front face of the
D16B pump. The lever should be turned in a counter-clockwise
direction to the 1 or open position. Verify by checking that there is
suction on the side of the pump.
2. The ballast valve lever is located on the top center area of the D16A
pump and is covered by a black, rubber-like (BUNA-N) cap.
3. Start an empty chamber cycle, and allow the pump to run for about 2
minutes. This sets or checks the correct setting.
4. On the D16A pump align one of the cap holes with the hole in the
valve so that it is fully exposed. Cover it with your finger to verify
suction.
