Rostock MAX v2 Assembly Guide

I would recommend that if you use this splice, you solder the joint before covering it with 

Kapton tape.

You can also use heat shrink tubing if you've got some handy – it's personal preference really.

When splicing the wires together, please follow the chart below.  This is important in order to 

get the pin assignments correct when you add the connector to the other end of the extension cable.  
(The connector & pins are supplied as part of the RAMBo parts kit.)

If you're color-blind, please get some assistance with this step.  Getting the wires backwards 

will make you crazy. :)
