Set the corresponding switch of each DRE card
UP (ON), referring to the table below.
Switch setting for remote loop-back check
Set the transmission equipment to remote loop-
back mode.
Lamps on the DRE card are indicating as follows.
• LINK (G): OFF (or may flickering)
• ALM (R):
ON, flashing, or OFF
Lamps on the DRE card are indicating as follows.
• LINK (G): ON, flashing, or OFF
• ALM (R):
ON (or may be flickering)

FAULT : The signal link channel of the DLI/
DAI is not being transmitted transpar-
ently by the transmission equipment.
(1) Check the transmission equip-
ment.
(2) The DLI/DAI card and the DRE
card in the DRU/DAU do not
match with the switch settings for
signal link channel and for trans-
mission speed of the signal link
channel.
FAULT • The transmission equipment is faulty.
Check the transmission equipment.
• The transmission line between the
DRU/DAU and the transmission
equipment is faulty.
Check the cable between the DRU/
DAU and the transmission equip-
ment.
