CHAPTER 4
CONFIGURATION SETUP
Note:
When no higher priority data is set in the configuration, the lower priority data will be used without using
the default data. When no data exists in all the groups, the default data of the lowest priority will be used.
(9) Even if the DHCP server allows DT700 Series to obtain IP address, DT700 Series does not obtain the IP
address automatically. Restart the DT700 Series (by manual operation, operation from the Telephony Serv-
er or turn OFF and ON the DT700 Series).
(10) If the DHCP server recovers while using a substitute IP address, the DHCP server may distribute the du-
plicated IP address of the substitute IP address which DT700 Series uses. Also network failure occurs if the
DHCP server distributes the duplicated IP address of the substitute IP address which DT700 Series uses
over the networks.
(11) The Spare IP/Backup IP function will become active after restarting DT700 Series.
(12) The Spare IP/Backup IP function will become active after DT700 Series data clear (Initialization, Station
Data Clear).
(13) Even when DT700 Series fails to connect to the Telephony Sever, the DT700 Series can save the substitute
IP address information in Backup IP mode at the time it obtains an IP address from the DHCP server.
(14) A substitute IP address may inhibit DT700 Series from connecting to the Telephony Server if the substitute
IP address duplicates other IP addresses used for the equipment in the network.
(15) AutoConfig is not be activated while a substitute IP address is in service.
(16) When AutoConfig Mode is in service, the operation mode of Spare IP/Backup IP will become the default
data by initialization. In the case of Backup IP, the IP address obtained from the DHCP server last time will
be maintained.
(17) The obtained data from the DHCP server last time for Backup IP will be deleted when DT700 Series data
clear (Initialization, Station Data Clear) is performed. In the factory setting, DT700 Series does not have
the data required for Backup IP so that Backup IP is not activated.
(18) When a substitute IP address is in service, functions except telephone functions, XML application for ex-
ample, may not operate normally.
(19) Backup data is a target of [5. Setting] - [3. Data Backup/Restore] in the configuration menu.
(20) When the substitute IP address mode is Backup IP, DT700 Series saves an IP address obtained from the
DHCP server in the Flash Memory. If the power of DT700 Series is turned OFF while saving the IP address
in the Flash Memory, DT700 Series may not start up.
