CONFIGURATION SETUP
3. Press “Speaker”.
4. Press “Mic”.
5. Make sure that Message Waiting Lamp is lit green.
6. Press Line Key 1 (the terminal starts the data initialization).
7. Make sure that Message Waiting Lamp is lit alternately with green and red.
8. Press Line Key 1 to reboot.
9. Make sure that Line Key 1, 2 and Message Waiting Lamp turn off.
STEP 3: Assign configuration data on [Network Settings] menu
Depending on the system configuration, assign the following network data.
Type 1: With DHCP Server (SIP Server’s IP Address is Pre-assigned by DHCP Server)
• Set DHCP to “Enable.”
• When necessary, assign IP address for DNS server.
Type 2: With DHCP Server (SIP Server’s IP Address is Not Assigned by DHCP Server)
• Set DHCP to “Enable.”
• Assign IP address (or FQDN) for the primary SIP server.
• Assign IP address for second, third, fourth SIP server. (Perform this assignment only
when backup SIP server is prepared in the network.)
• When necessary, assign IP address for DNS server.
Type 3: Without DHCP Server
• Set DHCP to “Disable.”
• Assign IP address (or FQDN) for the primary SIP server.
• Assign IP address for second, third, fourth SIP server. (Perform this assignment only
when backup SIP server is prepared in the network.)
• When necessary, assign IP address for DNS server.
• Assign IP address for DT700 Series terminal.
• Assign the Default Gateway address.
• Assign Subnet Mask.
STEP 4: Save settings
On [Config] screen, press the software key “Save” to save the settings.
STEP 5: Restart DT700 Series terminal
6.2.1.1 Type 1 - System with DHCP Server (SIP Server’s IP Address Is Pre-assigned by DHCP
Server)
This section explains the procedure of DT700 Series data assignment for a system with DHCP server and SIP
server’s IP address (or FQDN) is preassigned on the DHCP server. The procedure assumes that the DHCP server
notifies IP address of DT700 Series, router (default gateway), subnet mask, and SIP server address (or FQDN).
Telephony Server’s IP address (or FQDN) must be pre-assigned to DHCP Options in the following ways.
