18.5 Configuration Commands
18.5.1 How to Use the Configuration Command
Configuration commands are used to change the default settings. Change the settings only where it is necessary.
Start a communication software such as HyperTerminal
Note 1
of Maintenance Console (PC), and turn on MG-
SIP128 [MG-128SIPMGJ]. The boot program starts and the configuration command login screen appears.
In the above screen, enter “config” after the prompt to login, and press the Enter key. It moves to the configu-
ration mode.

Speed
: 9600bps
Data Length : 8 Bits
Parity Bit
: None
Stop Bit : 1
Flow Control : None
(1) Commands
A command interface prompt is displayed on a screen waiting for a user input. When a user inputs a char-
acter string, the system analyzes the input data, and displays a reply message. Inputting commands and
sub commands are necessary, but whether inputting a parameter is necessary or not depends on com-
mands. (Some commands do not have any parameters.) The following figure shows an example of input-
ting a command, a sub command, and a parameter.
Note:
• If you input “exit” after a prompt, you may not be able to input any more character strings on the screen.
In that case, press CTRL + C to go back to the prompt.
• If you press CTRL + S on the Console, you may not be able to input any more character strings on the screen.
In that case, press CTRL + C to go back to the prompt.
