Dynamic Routing
Routing table is automatically created by using routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF. Since routing information
is exchanged between routers, the bandwidth of WAN is used for the information. Dynamic routing is used for
a comparatively large-sized network.

General Description of Station-to-Station Features
IP Terminals
Available IP terminals in the system are DtermIP (Proprietary Protocol), Soft Phone (Proprietary Protocol),
Dterm INASET, IP Enabled Dterm.
SIP Terminals
Available SIP terminals in the system are DT700 Series, DtermIP (SIP), Soft Phone (SIP), WLAN Handset (MH
Series) and Standard SIP Voice/Video Terminal. WLAN Handset (MH Series) supports the various features
equivalent to the built-in PHS terminal. When using a locally purchased Standard SIP Terminal, NEC connec-
tion test is required.
MAC Authentication Mode
One of two modes used by IP Stations except for Soft Phone and WLAN Handset (MH Series). This mode en-
ables each station to start up automatically, upon being connected to the LAN (with its power ON). Once this
mode is set, the station does not require the Login operation by the station user. Login operation is necessary
only when pressing the LOGOUT Key, in a temporary attempt to use the terminal as the one with a different
Extension Number. For example, assume that the user of DtermIP 2000 is now in a distant location and tries to
make a call from DtermIP 2021. At this time, the user can use DtermIP 2021 temporarily as Station 2000 by
pressing the LOGOUT Key. When this key is pressed, a Login prompt appears on the LCD and the user can log
in to the terminal using the Extension Number (2000). The assignment of MAC address from DtermIP is also
available. In this case, you do have to assign the MAC address from PCPro in advance.
Login Mode
One of two modes used by IP Stations except for Soft Phone and WLAN Handset (MH Series). In this mode, the
station requests the user to enter Login Code and Password whenever the station power is turned on. When the
user enters the Login Code and the Password, the station becomes operational as a Station with the number spec-
ified by Login Code. This mode is useful for the user to prohibit the use of the station by unauthorized user while
he or she is absent. When the user returns to the desk, the station can be used again by entering the Login Code
and Password.
