Invasive blood pressure (IBP)

Instructions for use – Infinity Acute Care System – Monitoring Applications VG6.n

To zero all pressure transducers from the
hemodynamic pods

Align the transducer to the level of the heart
(phlebostatic axis point, fifth intercostal space
and midaxillary line).

Close the stopcocks to the patient, and open
them to air.

Press the

key (A) on the Hemo4 pod,

Hemo2 pod, or the MPod – QuadHemo.

Verify that the transducers have been zeroed. If
zeroing failed, repeat steps 2 and 3.

To zero all pressure transducers from the
Cockpit

Align the transducers to the heart level of the
patient.

Close the stopcocks to the patient, and open
them to air.

Select the

Sensor parameters...

Zero all

buttons on the main menu bar (C700).

Select the

symbol next to the

Sensor

parameters...

button on the main menu bar

(C500).

Select the IBP parameter field to access the

IBP

page.

Select the

Zero

button.

Verify that the transducers have been zeroed. If
zeroing failed, repeat the procedure.
