Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Bypass Box Installation and Operation Manual
I/O Monitoring and Control
The
Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box
can be controlled by several input types and
combinations thereof, as well as operate within a wide range of voltage levels. This section discusses
the control methods and supported I/O functions.
The
(shown on
) of the
Q9 Plus Bypass ASD/Q9 Plus Bypass Box
supports
discrete and analog I/O functions.
lists the names, descriptions, and the default settings (if
programmable) of the input and output terminals of the
Terminal Board
. See the section
for more information on the listed terminals.

CIA/CIB
Interlock
Customer Interlock
— The
CIA
-to-
CIB
interlock connection is accomplished via a jumper, a
relay, etc., and is required for normal system operation.
DRA/DRB
Damper Input
Damper Response
— The
DRA
-to-
DRB
connection is accomplished via limit switches at the
opened damper and is required for normal system operation.
DSA/DSB
(OUT1)
Switched
Output
Damper Command
— Multifunctional programmable dry contact that is used to open/close
the 120 VAC damper motor power circuit when the motor is ASD-driven.
OUT2 A/B
Acc/Dec Complete
— Multifunctional programmable output that changes state when the
programmed acceleration or deceleration ramp is reached.
FLC
Fault relay (common).
FLB
Fault relay (N.C.).
FLA
Fault relay (N.O.).
RR
Analog Input
Frequency Mode 1
— Multifunction programmable analog input (0.0 to 10 volt input — 0 Hz
to Maximum Frequency).
RX
Unassigned
— Multifunctional programmable analog input (-10 to +10 VDC input).
I
Frequency Mode 2
(default setting) — Multifunctional programmable analog current input (4
[0] to 20 mADC input — 0 Hz to Maximum Frequency).
V
Unassigned
— Multifunctional programmable analog voltage input (0 to 10 VDC input).

—
Multifunctional programmable voltage output that is proportional to the
output current of the ASD or to the magnitude of the function assigned to this terminal.
FM
Output Frequency
—
Multifunctional programmable Current or Voltage output that is
proportional to the output frequency of the ASD or to the magnitude of the function assigned to
this terminal. Select
Current
or
Voltage
at
F681
.
P24
DC Output
24 VDC (200 mA max.) output.
PP
10.0 VDC (10 mA max.) voltage source for the external potentiometer.
FP
Pulsed Output
Output Frequency
— Multifunctional programmable output pulse train of a frequency based
on the output frequency of the ASD or of the magnitude of the function assigned to this
terminal.
CC
—
Return for all input and output terminals (
DO NOT
connect to
Earth Gnd
).
