17. Didital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) Commands
138
The threshold unit mW or dBm allows the user to input the decimal in the CLI
command. The CLI does not restrict the number of input digits, the only
limitation of the inputted digits are the size of the command buffer and the
float-point precision. The user inputted digits will be converted to the floating-
point number and applied to the configuration database.
The default precision of a floating-point number is 6 digits.
For example, input "12.3456", will get a float value 12.3456, input
"12.3456789", will get a float value 12.3457.
Restrictions
Administrators and operators.
Example
To configure the port 21's transmit power threshold
high_alarm
<mw_or_dbm>
Specifies the high threshold for the transmit power alarm.
When the operating parameter rises above this value, the action associated with
alarm is taken.
If the unit is mW, the range of this parameter is from 0 to 6.5535mW. If the unit is
dBm, the range of this parameter is form -40 to 8.1647dBm.
low_alarm
<mw_or_dbm>
Specifies the low threshold for the transmit power alarm.
When the operating parameter falls below this value, the action associated with
the alarm is taken.
If the unit is mW, the range of this parameter is from 0 to 6.5535mW. If the unit is
dBm, the range of this parameter is form -40 to 8.1647dBm.
high_warning
<mw_or_dbm>
Specifies the high threshold for the transmit power warning.
When the operating parameter rises above this value, the action associated with
the warning is taken.
If the unit is mW, the range of this parameter is from 0 to 6.5535mW. If the unit is
dBm, the range of this parameter is form -40 to 8.1647dBm.
low_warning
<mw_or_dbm>
Specifies the low threshold for the transmit power warning.
When the operating parameter falls below this value, the action associated with
the warning is taken.
If the unit is mW, the range of this parameter is from 0 to 6.5535mW. If the unit is
dBm, the range of this parameter is form -40 to 8.1647dBm.
