10.6. enable ipif_ipv6_link_local_auto
Description
This command is used to enable the auto configuration of link local address when there are
no IPv6 addresses explicitly configured. When an IPv6 address is explicitly configured, the
link local address will be automatically configured, and the IPv6 processing will be started.
When there is no IPv6 address explicitly configured, by default, link local address is not
configured and the IPv6 processing will be disabled. By enabling this automatic
configuration, the link local address will be automatically configured and IPv6 processing
will be started.
Format
enable ipif_ipv6_link_local_auto <ipif_name 12>
Parameters
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
Example
To enable the automatic configuration of link local address for an interface:

Description
This command is used to disable the auto configuration of link local address when no IPv6
address is explicitly configured.
Format
disable ipif_ipv6_link_local_auto <ipif_name 12>

The name of the interface.
