8.4.7 Running Garbage Collect
Garbage collect must be run when message drives are replaced. The function
is optional for system drives, although Octel recommends it. Complete the
following steps to run garbage collect on the drive to be replaced:
1. Type
REFORMAT
to display the reformat menu. Select
4
for Garbage
collect. When the
ENTER DRIVE # TO GARBAGE COLLECT (0-6) OR ANY
KEY FOR ALL DRIVES:
prompt appears, select the drive being replaced.
