Once menu 0 is complete, it cannot be accessed again.
Make sure that information entered into the menu 0 fields
is correct when it is entered.
Caution!
Before the Main Menu can be accessed, the correct line types must be estab-
lished. This is accomplished in menu 4. After menu 0 has been completed,
the following prompts appear on the screen:
Loading System Tables – Please Wait
Port [first port] – Line type is not valid for the type of PBX System is
connected to
Press any key to continue:
Press any key, and the first screen of menu 4 appears.
4.5 ESTABLISHING LINE TYPES AND PORT
ASSIGNMENTS
The first screen of Menu 4 – Port Assignments has six options for the 144
available XC1000 ports, as shown in Figure 4-23. Enter new information
based on the appropriate configuration note for the switch.

1 – Ports 1A–2L
2 – Ports 3A–4L
3 – Ports 5A–6L
4 – Ports 7A–8L
5 – Ports 9A–10L
6 – Ports 11A–12L
