XC1000 Service
One of the following V3 monitor cards and associated EPROMs:
V3 monitor card, P/N 044–2030–000, with an EPROM, P/N
039–1267–002, Rev 9003 or higher, at location U7N
V3 monitor card, P/N 044–2030–001
V3-1 monitor card, P/N 044–2030–002
For installations with standby redundancy or hot-plug power supplies,
one of the following monitor cards is required:
V3 monitor card, P/N 244–2030–001
V3 monitor card, P/N 244–2030–002, with an EPROM, P/N
039–1380–001, Rev 9202 or higher, at location U7N
V3 monitor card, P/N 244–2030–003
DLCs, P/N 044–2003–001, with the following EPROMs:
Low-byte EPROM, P/N 039–1270–004, Rev 9201A, at location U16J
High-byte EPROM, P/N 039–1271–004, Rev 9201A, at location U14J
UDLCs, P/N 244–2058–010, with the following EPROMs:
Low-byte EPROM, P/N 039–1441–000, Rev 9302, at location U51
High-byte EPROM, P/N 039–1440–000, Rev 9302, at location U52
If an ACP card is used, P/N 044–2039–000. The ACP386 processor
must have the following EPROMs:
Low-byte EPROMs, P/N 039–1372–000, Rev 9101, at location
U18J
High-byte EPROMs, P/N 039–1373–000, Rev 9101, at location
U16J
The ACP188 processor must have an EPROM, P/N 039–1408–001, Rev
9203.
EMI shielding kit, P/N 178–1083–000
If T1 TICs are used, P/N 044–2002–000, with the following EPROMs:
Low-byte EPROMs, P/N 039–1289–000, Rev 9000A, at location
U5T
High-byte EPROMs, P/N 039–1290–000, Rev 9000A, at location
U5U
EPROM puller
When upgrading a XC1000 that has the multiple-terminal-access (MTA)
feature installed, perform all system-manager-terminal (SMT) functions from
a terminal connected to port 1 on the MTA port box. Disconnect all other
terminal cables from MTA ports 2 through 7, and label them.
13.3 ENABLE THE SERVICE OPTION
Contact the Octel Communications Technical Assistance Center and request
that the service option be enabled. Provide the Technical Assistance Center
with the pilot number of the hunt group assigned to XC1000.
13.4 RUN VALIDITY CHECKS
The utility menus require use of the
Ctrl
key. When instructed, press the
Ctrl
key (
^
) and at the same time press the indicated letter key. The screen
