XC1000 Service
An 80386 or 80486 PC (preferably portable) with at least a 33-MHz
processor, two serial COM ports, 8 MB of RAM, and 20 MB of free
space on the hard drive (refer to section 14.7.2 step 1).
A PC that meets these requirements is a Toshiba T4600/C or
T4700/C.
Refer to section 14.3.3 for required software.
If a Toshiba PC is used, a PCMCIA serial adapter card is required for
the PC COM2 port. Refer to section 14.3.3 for installation instructions.
Two 25-foot, right-angled, DB25, 15-pin SMT cables, P/N
057–1174–000.
One 25-pin male/25-pin female null modem connector, P/N
003–1115–000.
Two female/female DB25/DB9 gender changer adapters, P/N
003–1091–000 or, if the PC COM ports have 25-pin male connections,
two female/female DB25/DB25 gender changer adapters, P/N
003–1092–000.
Printer and hardware connectors.
The following hardware is required for the XC1000:
One spare drive for making a backup copy, depending on the size of
current system-drives:
380-MB Maxtor drive module, P/N 012–2007–000 or
760-MB Maxtor drive module, P/N 012–2022–000
The FCP conversion will fail if the XC1000 has software
older than Release 1.5X or 2.X.
Caution!
An XC1000 currently running smoothly on Release1.5X or 2.X
software with one or more supported languages. Supported languages
are as follows:
American-English, phrase level 90.41 (Rel. 1.5X) or 90.33.08
(Rel. 2.X)
Canadian-French, phrase level 97.13 (Rel. 1.5X) or 97.33.03
(Rel. 2.X)
American-Spanish, phrase level 99.07 (Rel. 1.5X) or 99.33.03
(Rel. 2.X)
To verify the phrase level, review SMT menu 13.10.
CPU C20 turbo card with 16 MB, P/N 044–2053–025 (if dual-cabinet
XC1000, two cards are required).
