RELEASE 4.X FCP CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS
17-24 Release 4.X XC1000 Service
Resolve the error as follows:
a. At the error message screen, press Esc to quit the FCP
conversion and return to the
C:\FCP>
prompt.
Before you attempt to resolve any software-incompatibility
problems, call the Octel TAC to assist you in defining the
problems and obtaining any required diskettes.
Caution!
b. Evaluate and correct the incompatibility by acquiring
supported software diskettes and/or phrase diskettes.
c. Load the new software or phrase diskettes onto the hard
drive (section 17.7.3).
d. Discuss with the Octel TAC how to resume the conversion,
based on what the problem was.
After all checks have been completed, a screen similar to the one
shown in Figure 17-62 appears.
Final confirmation before conversion

Continue the conversion(Y/N): Y
Press <Enter> to continue. Press <Esc> to quit.

15. If the information in the Final confirmation before conversion screen
(Figure 17-62) is correct, press Enter . The !!! INSTRUCTION !!! screen
shown in Figure 17-63 appears, to make sure that ports have been
disabled and validity checks and garbage collect have been run.
16. At Have you done these steps already (Y/N): , the default Y is
highlighted. If the steps were performed previously (sections 17.4 and
17.6), press
Enter
to accept the default
Y
and proceed to step 17.
If the steps described in Figure 17-63 were not performed, do the
following:
a. At Have you done these steps already (Y/N): , type n and
press Enter . The !!!INSTRUCTION!!! screen shown in
Figure 17-64 appears.
