7 - MAINTENANCE

13. Remove the hydrostatic drive filter

. Turn the filter

counterclockwise to remove.

14. Clean the contact surface on the filter head. Make

sure that all dirt and gasket material has been re-
moved.

15. Apply a thin coat of clean oil to the hydrostatic oil gas-

ket and threads.

16. Install and tighten the hydrostatic filter firmly to the fil-

ter head by hand. Do not use a filter wrench to tighten
the filters.

NOTICE:

Clean the reservoir suction screens in conjunction with this procedure.

17. Fill the reservoir with new hydraulic oil.

18. Install the reservoir filler cap.

19. Start the engine and run at approximately

1000 RPM

Check for leakage around the filter and drain.

20. Replace all panels, and close all access doors se-

curely.

21. Operate the controls several times to remove any air

in the lines.

22. Place the attachments on the ground, and stop the

engine. Check the hydraulic oil level.

23. If it is necessary to top off with more oil, make certain

all pressure is removed in the system, and remove the
fill cap slowly to release pressure in the reservoir.
