Syntax
snmp-server user userName group groupName
[ authentication authType authKey [ privacy des privKey ] ]
no snmp-server user userName
Release Information
Command introduced before JUNOSe Release 7.1.0.
Description
Creates and modifies SNMPv3 users. The no version removes the user.
Options
■
userName —Name of the SNMPv3 user
■
groupName —Name of the group to which the user belongs
■
one of the three predefined groups (admin, public, or private) or a custom
group created with SNMPv3 commands
■
authType —One of the following authentication protocols:
■
md5—HMAC-MD5-96
■
sha—HMAC-SHA-96
■
authKey —Password for the authentication procedure; use a 16-character password
for HMAC-MD5-96 and a 20-character password for HMAC-SHA-96
■
des—Specifies CBC-DES encryption algorithm for privacy
■
privKey —Password for the privacy verification; use a 16-character password for
CBC-DES
