Run the
route add 10.50.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.10.1.1
command to add a
route.
Run the
route print
command to query the information about the current routing
table.
NOTE
If the IP address of the outband NMS port and the IP address of the U2000 are in the same
network segment, you need not configure the route.

Log in to the U2000.

Configure the SNMP parameters.
NOTE
A default SNMP profile exists in the system and is considered in this example. If you need to
configure a new profile, do as follows:
a.
Choose
Administration
>
NE Communicate
>
Default Access Protocol
Parameters
from the main menu.
b.
In
Default Access Protocol Parameters
, click the
SNMPv2 Parameters
tab,
and then click
Add
.
c.
Set the profile name, and then set other parameters according to the plan.
d.
Click
OK
. Then, the SNMP parameters are configured.
4.
Add a device.
a.
Right-click in the main topology, and then choose
New
>
NE
from the shortcut
menu.
b.
In the dialog box that is displayed, set relevant parameters.
