New Blocks are added using the
Create
drop down list:
−
A
Acquisition Block
is used for image acquisition which is performed according to the acquisition
parameter settings
−
A
Delay Block
sets a time delay between two blocks (not effective if defined as the very last block
of a Multi block experiment). The delay time is set using the Delay slider which shows up when
selecting a Delay Block. The time unit can be selected from the drop down list ranging from
milliseconds (ms) to days (d).
−
A
Wait Block
pauses the acquisition until the user actively confirms the message box. The message
of this box is typed into the editing field which shows up when a Wait Block is selected.
Use
Duplicate
to create a duplicate of the selected block. The duplicated block will be added as the last
block. It will be active and selected.
Each Block icon shows as smaller icons or in writing its content like the delay time, the message or the
acquisition dimensions (T for time, Z for Z-Stack, C for Channels, P for Positions and M for Tile scan).
The number of enabled acquisition blocks of the total Multi Block experiment is indicated underneath the
row of block icons.
Loops and Repetitions are set (in
Show all
mode)
in the
Loops and Repetition
panel. Use the arrow
to open the panel (Fig. 110). The number in the
Loops
column states how often a sequence of
Blocks defined by the number of the Block in
Start
and
End
is run. One loop/repetition is set as
default and reflects the minimum of running the
experiment once. Set the Loops value to 2 to
perform the defined sequence twice. Repeat one
Block by choosing the same number for Start and
End. A yellow triangle shows up if a sequence
cannot be performed for example if the end block
is before the start block.
Whenever a block being part of a sequence is reached, the defined number of loops is performed. Thus
outer loops also contribute to the number of total runs of an inner loop. Add a new row of loop settings
by clicking the + button. Highlighted rows are removed by clicking the waste bin button. Rows of
settings need to be checked in the
Enabled
column to be executed.
Use the
Export…
button to store a complete Multi Block experiment or selected Blocks under a
Name
of
choice typed into the editing field. Within the
Export Experiment Blocks
dialogue you can
Select All
or
Deselect All
blocks using the corresponding buttons. Single blocks are selected/deselected with a mouse
click.
Export
stores the selected block(s) under the chosen name.
Use the
Import…
button to load a Multi Block experiment or selected Blocks of an Experiment. Within
the
Import Experiment Blocks
dialogue chose a name from the
Experiments
list with mouse click.
Select All
or
Deselect All
blocks using the corresponding buttons. Single blocks are selected/deselected
with a mouse click. Delete removes the highlighted name/experiment from the list.
Import
adds the
selected block(s) to the already existing block(s) of the Experiment Designer.
