In other words, whenever the Z-Piezo is involved during
Periodic
stabilization, either as the control
element for the Definite Focus or as the device to alter the focus, the Definite Focus will regulate back to
the pre-set focal position. So during
Periodic
stabilization the focus cannot be manually altered in these
cases.

The info display area gives information on (Fig. 164):

Current state the Definite Focus is in.
The status line will be empty prior to use of the
Definite Focus.
Info on objective
If the objective is suitable for Definite Focus no
message is displayed in the
information
area, which
stays collapsed (Fig. 164).
If the objective is unsuitable for Definite Focus or if
there is no information available on its suitability, the
information
Objective Suitability Unkown
appears
In order for a correct display, the objective has
to be correctly listed in the ZEN Software (in
Maintain
/
Objectives
/
Detection Objective
)
as well as for the microscope stand (
Home
/
Settings
/
Objectives
via the TFT).
Please note, that the ZEN Black Software and
the microscope stand do not update each
other, so a new objective has to be entered in
both listings. In case there is a mismatch
between both databases a warning message
will appear when booting the system (Fig. 166).
