Installing JDM on Linux from the CD

To install the Device Manager software to a Linux environment from the CD:

1

Close all programs.

2

Insert the software CD into your CD-ROM drive.

3

Navigate to the 

Linux/JDM 

subdirectory on the software CD.

4

Run the 

jdm_xxxx_linux.sh

 file.

Continue with 

“Executing the JDM installation software on UNIX or Linux”

Installing JDM on UNIX or Linux from the web

To install the JDM software to a UNIX (Solaris or HP-UX) environment from the 
web:

1

Go to the following URL:

http://www.nortel.com/support

2

Select the software support page for your product. 

The software page opens.

3

Click the Java Device Manager version you want.

The Software Detail Information page opens.

4

Download the JDM software for your operating environment to a desired 
directory on your system. The software download is a self-extracting .sh file.

Once the file transfer is complete, continue with 

step 5

.

5

Close all programs.

6

Navigate to the directory on your system where you loaded the JDM software.
