Chapter 3 CLI Basics
129
System Configuration Guide
The system records the last command in a CLI session. However, the last
command is not saved across reboots.
Add the word
no
to the beginning of most CLI configuration commands to clear
or remove the parameters of the actual command. For example, when you enter
the command
ip stack address 192.32.154.126,
you set the IP stack
address. However, when you enter
no ip stack address,
the system returns
the IP address to zero. Refer to
Appendix E, “Command List,” on page 447
for an
alphabetical list of
no
commands.
Add the word
default
to the beginning of most CLI configuration commands to
set the parameters of the command to the factory default values. Refer to
Appendix E, “Command List,” on page 447
for an alphabetical list of
default
commands.
When you enter a portion of the command and press the [Tab] key, the system
finds the first unambiguous match of a command and displays that command. For
example, if you enter
down
+[Tab], the system displays
download
.
