3. Setting method when using AIRNET or the Type III Checker
1. If any of the following are used: indoor unit, booster unit, or Qup unit
1) When using AIRNET
Set the AIRNET address in setting mode 2-6
To use the AIRNET format in the R-407C Conveni-Pack
• Set setting mode 3-37 (R-407C Conveni-pack format setting) to ON
2) When using the Type III Checker
• No settings necessary.
2. If none of these exist: indoor unit, booster unit, Qup unit (no Indoor/Outdoor transmission unit is being used (Main
DS2-1 is ON))
1) When using AIRNET
• AIRNET is not supported.
2) When using the Type III Checker
• Set setting mode 2-16 (virtual indoor address) to a value other than 0.

Caution
Due to the ongoing development of the AIRNET software, the outdoor unit may require
software updates to use AIRNET in the future.
Also, as of January 2010, AIRNET support for the outdoor unit is provisional and limited to
the R-407C Conveni-Pack format.
To make the outdoor unit and booster AIRNET compatible, set the R-407C Conveni-Pack
format to ON.
(Note, AIRNET will report malfunctions for both the outdoor unit and booster. However,
time-stamp data, provided only with malfunctions for the outdoor unit, will appear corrupted.
Use the translation table on the following page to read the time-stamps.)
