5) Maintenance 5: Maintenance of indoor air conditioning
Continuous operation possible in refrigeration
1. Turn the outdoor unit operation switch OFF. Turn the outdoor unit power OFF, the booster
unit operation switch OFF and the booster unit power OFF. Turn the indoor air-conditioner
power OFF.
2. Turn the outdoor unit main DIP switch 2-7 ON and switch to air-conditioner forced stop mode.
3. Turn the outdoor unit and booster unit power ON, then press and hold down the outdoor unit
wire changeover button for 5 seconds to fix the system. After the system is fixed, turn the
outdoor unit and booster unit operation switches ON.
4. Close stop valves C2 and E.
5. Recover refrigerant from stop valves C2 and E. (
framed portion)

Check WET/DRY of the moisture indicator. If indicating WET, replace the dryer positioned
on the onsite pipe. For dryer replacement on onsite liquid pipelines refer to maintenance 7.
6. Conduct air tight test.
7. Conduct evacuation via stop valves C2 and E.
8. Fill as much refrigerant as possible from C2. (There is a possibility that indoor electronic
expansion valves are open.)
9. Turn the outdoor unit and booster unit operation switches OFF. Turn the outdoor unit and
booster unit power OFF and turn the outdoor unit main DIP switch 2-7 OFF as well.
10.Turn the outdoor unit power, indoor air-conditioner and booster unit power ON. Press and
hold down the outdoor unit wire changeover button for 5 seconds to fix the system. After the
system is fixed, turn the outdoor unit and booster unit operation switches ON.
(If using a remote switch, turn to remote.)
11.Fill the portion recovered with additional refrigerant through C1. At this time, also add
refrigerant and refrigerant oil using the charging cylinder.
(If the refrigerant was recovered in liquid form, filling of additional refrigerant oil of 5% the
recovery volume is required.)
