(5) Setting method of the target evaporating temperature
The target evaporating temperature is calculated as follows:
Tst_BU
: Target evaporating temperature
Tsd_BU
: Evaporating temperature set by the DIP switch
Tsp1_BU: Temperature correction setting 1 set by the BS button
Tsp2_BU: Temperature correction setting 2 set by the BS button
The suction pressure equivalent saturation temperature can be set using the DIP switch and BS button on PCB.
The setting range of the DIP switch is given in the table below and can be set in increments of 5°C.
Note, conditions such as a low outdoor air temperature may cause the evaporating temperature to fall below the preset.
(This is normal and is done to protect the compressor.)
The BS button allows you to change the evaporating temperature set at the DIP switch within a range of -4K to +4K, in
1K-increments. This can also be used to adjust for suction pressure loss based on the frequency. For setting
procedures, refer to the pages after this page.
• Do not set the target evaporating temperature to -45°C or less. (Doing so may damage the compressor or cause
cooling failures.)
• Always allow for 5°C or more of difference between the presets for the booster and outdoor unit evaporating
temperatures. (Failure to do so may damage the compressor or cause cooling failures.)
