Front-Panel Diagnostics
When the product scanner detects a product, three LEDs on the front panel of the control will illuminate in sequence
(Figure 52). (The parent machine must be operating at minimum speed or faster.) To verify operation of the front
panel, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the following LEDs are illuminating at the proper times:
• CTG (Cell-to-Gun) —This LED should illuminate when the scanner detects the product. It should
remain on until the box is under the valve.
• FLAP —This LED should illuminate when the product reaches the glue valve. (The valve is not
activated at this point.) The FLAP LED should remain on until the glue valve fires or until the
product travels the distance of the box flap.
• GLUE —This LED should illuminate when the control sends a signal to the valve driver. It should
remain on until the box reaches the end of the glue pattern.
Note! Glue will not be dispensed from a valve until the corresponding gun selector switch is on.
